Helo a chroeso i The Old Blacksmith's!
Hello and welcome to the Old Blacksmith's, Men's Shed Clydach! Who are we? Men's Shed Clydach is run by Belinda Gardiner, who took on the project after being inspired by other shed projects across the world. Twice a week, on Wednesdays and Fridays, the space becomes busy with people socialising and getting involved with crafts, woodworking, and gardening. Pwy ydyn ni? Mae Men's Shed Clydach wedi ei reoli gan Belinda Gardiner, a chafodd ei ysbrydoli gan shediau eraill ar draws y byd. Mae'r sied yn cwrdd dwywaith yr wythnos, ar ddydd Mercher a dydd Gwener, ac mae pawb yna yn cymryd rhan mewn gwaith crefftio, creu a garddio. What is a Men's Shed? Men’s Sheds originated in Australia in the 1990’s and the model has since been adopted successfully for use throughout the UK. The Shed is a larger community-scale version of the typical man’s shed in the garden. It is a place for making and mending, a place where the person feels comfortable enough to pursue practical interests with like-minded people. A place that is safe and friendly, where skills can be shared. The aim of the project is to provide a place where people from the community can come together to work on projects. Beth yw Men's Shed? Fe ddechreuodd Men’s Sheds yn Awstralia yn y 1990au ac ers hynny mae’r model wedi cael ei fabwysiadu ledled y DU. Mae'r sied yn fersiwn fwy cymunedol na'r sied rydych chi'n debygol o ffeindio yn yr ardd. Mae'n lle ar gyfer creu a thrwsio a lle mae pobl yn gallu teimlo'n ddigon cyfforddus i ddilyn diddordebau a rhannu sgiliau. Bwriad y prosiect yw i gynnig lle gall pobl o'r gymuned ddod at ei gilydd i weithio ar brosiectau personol a chymunedol. Dog Policy We regret to inform that due to the health and safety of all involved, we cannot allow dogs at the Shed. We hope you can understand. |
